Current Tax Year Returns
The Lincoln VITA sites scheduling app is generally available mid-January through mid-April to schedule an appointment for a current year return preparation.
If you need to file your current year tax return, back year returns, amended return, assistance with responding to an IRS letter, please complete this form and send. A staff member will be in contact with you to schedule an appointment.
Amend a Return
If you received a tax document, a letter from the IRS, and/or letter from the Department of Revenue you may need to or are asked to amend a tax return. We can amend federal and state returns. Typically, we do not amend tax returns from January through April, however, complete this form and send. A staff member will be in contact with you to schedule an appointment.
Back Year Tax Returns
We are able to prepare back year returns, however, not during tax prep season (January through April). You will need to schedule an appointment with the site’s coordinator. At the time of your appointment, you will need to have all relevant tax documents.
If you lost your income documents and your employer will not provide a duplicate copy you can visit the IRS website to create an account, and request your income transcript for the year(s) you need.
